The Fairchild 91 “Kono” (NR777) was flown on the second Richard Archbold expedition for the biological exploration of New Guinea during 1936 - 1937. The NR777 was sunk at its moorings by a sudden tropical storm in July of 1936. Model built from Sword kit. Wings of Peace 2009 Record Breakers and Explorers themed contest winner!
