Welcome to the Wings of Peace website, dedicated to the modeling and historical research of civil aircraft from the "Between the Wars" period.

Our latest contest has started and we have received our first entry.  This contest has no theme, and entries can be of any type of civil aircraft designed, built, and/or flown during the Golden Years of civil aviation (1919-1941).  The contest ends midnight, December 15, 2008.

The voting procedures used in the Seaplanes and Flying boats contest, just concluded, worked well, and will be used in this contest.  Donations of prizes are requested, and will be greatly appreciated.

  Reviews; Reference; Walk Arounds; Links.  This website contains links to kit reviews, reference material, aircraft walk arounds, and links to other websites.  If you have not done so, please check them out, they are quite interesting.  Also, these links have not been updated recently.  If you know of any items that should be included here please contact Dave Miller and we will include them.

Splash page features: Our splash page features a different Wings of Peace members' model each month. Models are selected from our Gallery photos. June's featured model is a Hughes H-1 scratchbuild by Crazy Biker Chris .

Gallery submissions: Any members who have photos of models to submit to our Gallery are encouraged to do so. We will also include your notes on building the model, if you submit them along with your photos. Turnaround times are currently running between 24-48 hours.

We welcome your submissions for our model galleries. Just email at least three photos or more to gallery submissions. Photos should be of a good quality and be at least 600 pixels wide at 72 DPI or higher.
