 Wings of Peace Open Theme Contest Begins!
The latest Wings of Peace Open Theme Contest has begun, and some of you are aleady hard at work with your models. The Open Theme Contest will run through January 31, 2011.
Models constructed during the contest may be entered. Models begun, but not finished, prior to the start of the contest may be entered. Models entered that do not meet these conditions, unfortunately, will be disqualified from the contest; but the photos may be included in the Wings of Peace Gallery at the request of the builder.
Builders may enter as many models as they wish. For each model entered, up to 6 photos may be submitted, along with optional build notes [Please keep them as brief as possible.] After the contest is over, all models submitted will be added to the Wings of Peace Gallery. All builders who submit a model in the contest will receive a Certificate of Participation [suitable for framing]. Contest winners will also receive a Winner's Certificate [suitable for framing], along with a prize. Naturally, you must fill out the Name and Mailing Address fields on the entry form, in order for us to mail you your certificate. We do not keep a list of member names or addresses, and they are used for no other purpose. This information is used ONLY to send you your certificates/prizes. The number of winners will depend upon the number of prizes that are donated by Wings of Peace members.
Members who wish to donate prizes for the Wings of Peace Open Theme Contest are urged to contact Dave Miller. All prize donations will be displayed on this site, along with the name of the donor and a link to the donor's website, if applicable. If possible, send Dave a photo of the prize you are donating so that we can use it on the Prizes page. The prize page will be available for viewing as donations come in, so stay tuned...
